just to note that I've pointed out to Toby that this is another demonstration that eduGAIN needs a service catalogue

- even an initial one with some basic categories covered. Peter noted a few generic ones but he missed out the

student/staff verification service offerings from companies such as UNiDAYS, StudentBeans , SheerID and InAcademia 

when people ask about eduGAIN I do point out a few useful ones that I'm aware of..have been made aware of from many years

of conferences..but there are so many SP entities that come down that firehose when you turn on the eduGAIN tap - how many of

them are relevant? how many should work by default if an IdP is following the eg entity category rules..how many are free to use

without subscription etc?  answer - service catalogue
