The devil is in the details. I claim that CLARIN (or CLARIN.cz)
doesn't have a sufficiently clear defintion of what they want that
simply needs to be operationalized by federations the world over.

Last time I asked CLARIN wasn't even using affiliations, i.e. they did
not even look at whether an account had an affiliation at all.

But of course, of any of the existing affiliation values gave CLARIN
the info they needed, that's the obvious thing to do/use.
And if none of the exiting values seems right, feel free to propose a
new value.

Sure! More people relying on or trying to use eduGAIN should be
participating in edugain-discuss.
