Hello

We would like to test the system as a stand alone machine.
This work is made in the context of performance assessment.

I do not want to disturb your development. Maybe we should book the POZNAN router for a specific date to make our test ?

Xavier

hi,
if it was a standalone switch then yess, but as we're playing with stack/multichassis/linecard-based/whatever we call it for a while,
the backplane stuff alone involves mpls because regular bridging is expressed internally as vpls (and basic routing as mpls vpn)...
where the inner label is the regular service label and the outer label is identifying a member of the stack...

Hello Csaba,

What about "profile-renater-peering-l2.p4" and "profile-renater-peering-l2.tmpl" ?
Can we use it form bridging performance test ?

Xavier

hi,
two things:
1) the lab was recently reconfigured to be a stack of poz-bud-fra-ams...
if you want to configure any ports of these four, please perform it at
     netops@rare-bastion-86-7968c4d54f-qkv2x:~$ ctrl-rare
2) the current active profile is geant-testbed at all of these which
does not include bridging... you can set the profile individually,
     let's say just on POZ0001#tna-set-profile <capitalized name from>
https://bitbucket.software.geant.org/projects/RARE/repos/rare/browse/profiles,
but, right now, we don't have anything with bridging and mpls both enabled...
i'll add a vpls profile asap but i'll take some time until it goes through
the release processes... (imho it should be out by next monday...)

Hi,

I'm trying to make RFC2889 address learning/caching tests on poz-rare

I have bridge defined with ports:
POZ0001#show bridge 3
packet                             byte
iface                     fwd         phys     tx     rx drop     tx     rx     drop grp
brprt bvi
sdn4                         true     true     0 0         0                 0         0 0
sdn6                         true     true     0 0         0                 0         0 0
sdn7                         true     true     0 0         0                 0         0 0

packet byte
addr     iface     static     time       tx     rx drop     tx     rx     drop

But there's no traffic.
Interfaces are configred this way:

POZ0001#sh run int sdn4
interface sdn4
     description POZ0001@31/0 -> SPIRENT@PSCN-#1
     mtu 2000
     macaddr 0031.645a.1c09
     lldp enable
     cdp enable
     bridge-group 3
     no shutdown
     no log-link-change
     exit
!

Do I need any specific configuration for that?
I'm sending just untagged frames from the tester.

br
Tomek
