Let me start by calling bp on any argument that assumes this
is a lot of traffic/requests/whatever. The IdP owner's own monitoring
infrastructure is going to cause more traffic by far than anything we
can throw at them.

I'll go into the reason why in a separate thread but for my use case
this a stop-gap measure that can and will be replaced over time with
better information produced by the SPs themselves.

Others have provided good examples of other services that do mesh
testing. There are more.
