While the current geteduroam app from the Google Play store indicates that it
is "compatible", or requires, Android 12 and up, and this worked without issue
for me on an Android 13 device, what is an end user to do in the cases where
they are running Android ≥ 8 but < 12? Especially in cases where the eduroam
CAT app fails to work...

Is there another developer out there working on publishing apps in the Google
Play store who has any alternative apps for older Android versions? If not,
would it be prudent for cat.eduroam.org to start adding more segmentation for
different versions of Android than just 8+ and 4.3 to 7?
