Now, suddenly, it works though I'm not sure why ?! 

It still didn't work after I brutally stopped the Trend Micro anti-virus executable from running.   But suddenly, when I came to my Lab., now, clicking
on the executable that I downloaded before suddenly works !   And going to cat.eduroam.org to download new executable would also work.

Strangely, it didn't work yesterday when I tried to install eduroam-W7-BNL.exe at my Lab. and also tried to install it at home this morning.  All efforts have failed.

But suddenly, I can install it (eduroam-W7-BNL.exe) now, even the Trend-Micro (and others) anti-virus software are all running.   Very strange !    ( It's like that
there is a timestamp for that executable to start working or anything like that ??? ... )

So, I'm probably one of the 1st to try and I've complained to the helpdesk yesterday evening but of course nobody has worked on it yet.

The log entry in the Lab's "Trend Micro" only has some regular "scan 
entries" . nothing for this.

I've just tried to download and run the installer for another 
institute
(Adelphi) and it works (that the "Welcome to the eduroam installer"

pop up and I can "Next". until it invites to type username/password .).

So, the problem is only for the executable for out Lab. (BNL) !

This is indeed a strange symtomatic.

Do you have access to another Windows 7 machine? Does the installer work there?

Do your colleagues (with Win 7 computers) have similar problems, or is it just your very own machine for this specific BNL installer that has these problems?
