That message is indeed generic and global to the system.

In terms of grammar, there are a number of tradeoffs to make as some
institution naming constructs fit better than others.

In your example of Vassar College, the infix greeting reads admittedly a
bit better. But when you start to think of names like a hypothetical
"The Brainpool University", the grammer would turn into:

"Dear The Brainpool University user,"

while our current grammar makes it

"Dear user from The Brainpool University"

which reads at least less incorrect than the previous one.

Unfortunately, since the text is auto-generated, it is very hard to
write code which truly understands English grammar and flips between
infix and postfix as needed.

The other change, in terms of "Welcome aboard" vs. "Welcome to" is not a
question of grammar IMHO, but of taste/style.

Since the tools we produce are usually referred to as "on-boarding"
tools, I always felt it's natural to say that after you have been
on-boarded, you are - aboard?

Also for the "warmly welcome" vs. "happy to have you join" and a few
minor other things changed - again a question of style.

I've changed the sentence "Your download will..." in both branch and
trunk to become two separate sentences.

Greetings,

Stefan Winter
