Right, I just found the email exchange I had with Marcos about
this. One more thing: after the onie-self-update you'll also have to
embedd ONIE again afterwards. So:

* First Boot with "ONIE update", perform onie-self-update
* Reboot, select "ONIE embed"
* Reboot (done automatically after embed) and perform the RARE ONIE
installation
