That's what I would have expected, but who knows. It might be a device
of an older batch with a different ONIE version. We've seen this for
WEDGEs as well, didn't we?

Actually, I did build an ONIE updater/recovery image for the Netberg
(here: http://hydra.nix.net.switch.ch/RARE/netberg/) with EFI enabled
last year. Maybe that was to address this exact problem, I don't
remember.

@David, you could give that a try and re-install ONIE on the
device. To do that, select "ONIE update" from GRUB, then

# onie-self-update 
http://hydra.nix.net.switch.ch/RARE/netberg/onie-updater-x86_64-netberg_aurora_710-r0
