Hi,

That's really strange; we're testing (among others) on Pixel and Android 13, so this combination is "known to work". I'll do some tests (I see I at least have one upgrade pending), and verify whether it's something in your profile or something generic.

Thank you for that information, but unfortunately that doesn’t work either.

I get past the selecting the institution, i.e. Edith Cowan University OK and choosing the Staff profile, but when I then enter my username (my full ecu email address) and password the app crashes. I followed the process a second time and I get the following error message;

Hello,

 

the app eduroamCAT is deprecated and should not be used on Android devices running Android 8 or higher. Please use the app "geteduroam" instead.

I work at Edith Cowan University in Perth Western Australia and have a Google Pixel 6 Pro mobile phone.

I had issues connecting to the ECU Wi-Fi via EduroamCAT previously, after the phone operating system upgraded from Android v11 to v12. These issues were eventually solved and it connected fine again.

 

But now the phone has updated itself to Android 13, and I can no longer connect to the ECU Wi-Fi through EduroamCAT.

I have had our IT services people looking at this and they can’t get it to work either. All profiles were removed, the App uninstalled, device restarted and the App reinstalled, but nothing worked.

 

Is there an update coming soon to enable connection for devices using Android 13.

All Google Pixel phones from a Pixel 4 up to a Pixel 7 will probably be affected by this, if not the older handsets now, then very soon.
