Just for the records: My strange effect with the WiFi only profil was trivial:
Wired was still included despite the name :-((
I had misunderstood the profile editing logics:
You can globally enable wired, but NOT disable it for specific profile.
If you want different wired settings in your profiles,
you have to do it the other way round: Disable wired globally, enable for specific profiles.
