Hello Lukas,

I am not responsible for the geteduroam app whatsoever, so I won't talk 
about bugs, updates and so on, but I wanted to share my experience 
working in customer support.

Personally, I like the geteduroam app. It is cleaner and the process is 
straightforward. As of now we didn't even run into any problems with 
Android versions of 10 and upwards. Sometimes we also recommend it to 
iOS users, because the device isn't asking for any credentials (or it 
takes like 5 - 10 minutes for the popup). Most users now also read the 
error messages if any come up. For example the one where it says that 
there is already an existing profile. Some know what to do, others 
don't, but they tell us this is where they are stuck. In eduroam CAT the 
users just clicked through the dialogues and didn't know what went wrong 
and just say: It is not working. Maybe this is user specific but in the 
eduroam CAT app it was a somewhat annoying pop up error message while in 
geteduroam it is a simple information screen.

As I already said, we didn't run into any problems in day to day work. 
Maybe there are problems or bugs we didn't encounter. But overall I 
don't understand why you would call the app a mess. Useability wise, 
atleast for us, it isn't.
