Hi Max,

... or you might use QR codes that point directly to your URL on the CAT
(or anything else that sends the users straight to your CAT URL).

Cheers,
Vlad

Max,

In the meantime, we just direct people to eduroam.uah.edu which we've
redirected directly to the CAT page for our IdP. And if we ever switch
onboarding tools (which I guess might happen if we switch to TTLS), we
don't have to send users to a different place.

Hi

I have just been discussing with our Help Desk the use of the CAT tool for
setting up iPhones, which are used by an awful lot of our students (and
staff, come to that). It’s been pointed out that when you click the button to
select your institution, the search box is below the list of likely
institutions. On an iPhone, it is therefore covered up by the keyboard that
pops up for your input. If you’re at home when you try doing the setup (and
most people will be in these times), then your home institution probably
won’t be near the top of the list, so not visible. I know the answer is easy
– either just type (because what you type will go in the invisible box), or
tap “Done”, find the search box and then type into it. But a lot of new users
won’t realise that, and calls to Help Desks will result. What would anyone
think of moving the search box to the top of the pop-up, below “Select your
organisation” and above the first institution name? That way it would be
visible on any device, and it sort of matches what you do for searches in a
browser too

Regards

Max
