If I'm correct, for Windows 8.1 and 10, the default config is GEANTlink included anyway. 
Question is why, not vice-versa?
Does it mean you find GEANTlink solution better that built-in TTLS supplicant ?

For Windows 8 the default CAT supplicant is the built-in, for Windows 10 the opposite. This is due to the fact that Microsoft have broken their supplicant in Windows 10 and only fixed this in later upgrades. To keep things uniform we decided to make the GEANTLink supplicant the default.

GEANTLink has better reporting capabilities therefore can be considered superior to the builtin supplicant, so we give the admins the possibility to decide themselves if they want to use it in their institution installers or not.
