Yes -- that's the issue I'm facing: I would like them to be downloadable
without needing to sign in, through the URL. I don't want to have to
download them and store them locally, and deal with updating them myself, as
they're improved.

I agree this should not generally be the case, so it would need a further
option, or the 'Production ready' option could be "No", "Yes" and "Via
directly download link only".
