Good question ;-)

I got into this because I was annoyed by the warning that Android will
always show when you add a WiFi certificate manually. In contradiction
to some information out there, this warning appears even if you explicit
add that certificate for WiFi only. I was fed up with removing that
notification after every reboot, and I read somewhere that the warning
would not show up with eduroamCAT.

However, since then I managed to get rid of this notification with
<https://github.com/RalfJung/noFUDroid>, so I actually don't need
eduroamCAT any more myself.

I am still in contact with my institute for updating their Android
eduraom instructions, and eduroamCAT sounds like a more appropriate
choice for these than the Xposed-module. I feel much more comfortable
recommending open-source software to others, than proprietary software
:) (And yes, I am aware that technically, eduroamCAT has always been
under an open-source license. But if the source is not actually
available, that's not practically relevant.)

Kind regards,
Ralf
