First choice too.

Maybe an non-smiling smiley, with apologies plus some explanation (if
that would be possible) and maybe a call to collaboration... plus the
link to download for other platforms...

The Greyed option (at least for Apple) might not look enough evident
(an oddity of mine maybe).
