Hi all,

We are letting the students to configure the freeRtr environment in a virtualbox VM by following this tutorial: http://docs.freertr.org/guides/getting-started/001-hello-world/

When students completed the configuration and reboot the system, somehow they were redirected to a terminal rather than the desktop GUI interface. In this terminal, the network interface only has eth0 without any IP address configured. Is this an expected configuration to run a freeRtr?

If this is an expected result for freeRtr installation after reboot, then how to configure a network topology with multiple freeRtrs as previously we thought freeRtr could work together with the P4 bmv2 switches in mininet in VM? (if we understand correctly…)

Do you have any suggestions for the installation/configuration? Many thanks for your help!

Best Regards,

Ming
