a strange thing is going on here...

i ping flooded into your tunnel by the following:
AMS0001#ping 30.1.15.2 vrf CORE size 1111 repeat 1111111 tim 11

then i verified if it exits the switch as polka:
AMS0001#show interfaces sdn3.1916 ethertypes | include polka
ethtyp  8842   polka      16939  0      0     19189793  0        0

AMS0001#
it increases as i repeatedly issue the command....

but i get no polka packet at the sao switch:

moreove the null increases here, which is an indicator of the unknown 
ethertype....
that is, my suspect here is the link between the two switches...

i did a packet capture on the intreface but i found no way to get the file...
can you please grab the /sdn51.459.pcap file from sao0021 and attach it here?
