1. Just Say No to regexes in Scopes. (I dont register those here, but
I don't filter them out from when importing from the MDS.)

2. If avoiding regexes hurts too much, community consensus has been
condensed into the REFEDS MRPS Template document which the
candicate federation seems to have followed already.

The usual issues with regexes are:

* hard to get right / make secure
* interoperability/portability

The limited regex support in the MRPS template hopefully avoids both
problems -- if you must use regexes in scopes (i.e., when the
alternatives would be worse).
