Hi,
I’m wondering if your devices have issues with your (self signed) CA, although it looks fine at first glimpse (considering I looked at the right profile).
Are you able to create a bug report? You need to walk though the steps of installation, notifications, and connection attempt and create the bug report right after usage or crash. Please don’t send it to the mailinglist but for instance to me (paul.dekkers AT surf.nl) directly,
https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/bug-report

As I mentioned in my previous message, we have tried using version 1.0.16 by downloading the APK but the behaviour is the same, the app closes and does not show the save network message.
On some of these devices it seems that an update is pending, but until these users run the update we can't test again.
Maybe not all devices have this update available.

Hi Carlos,
When you click on ‘Save eduroam network’, the network is configured, and it should connect. It will not show any configuration in the Wi-Fi settings. I know, it’s very sub-optimal, but this is because of the specific Google API being used (which is the only one that’s been found to work on Xiaomi and Redmi (and clearly Poco too) devices.
You can potentially install the old 1.0.16 version of geteduroam and use that. See issue 15 here: https://community.jisc.ac.uk/library/network-and-technology-service-docs/geteduroam-app

Hi team!
Our User Support Centre is receiving more and more incidents every day with geteduroam on Xiaomi and Poco devices with Android OS version 12.5.8 MIU.
Once they download geteduroam (the current version from Play Store or even APK of previous versions), proceed to the configuration, select the Institution and the profile, enter the credentials and the application closes without finishing the configuration.
We have tried enabling the developer options and there appears the notification "Save eduroam network" but after accepting it closes again and does not finish the configuration.
As a workaround we are going to proceed with the manual configuration of these devices, manually importing the certificate.
Regards
