Hi Chanze,

You should get in touch with Internet2 who are the operators of eduroam in the US, who will be able to onboard you on eduroam CAT. You’ll need the root certificate that can validate your server certificate, and then also the CommonName (CN) of your server certificate (and make sure that CN also has a ‘DNS:’ entry in the subjectAltName in the server certificate).

Once you’ve configured the profile on CAT with the root certificate and the CN, and you specify that you’re using PEAP for authentication, you should be OK to go.

With kind regards

Subject: [[cat-users]] A few questions about getting USC setup with Eduroam CAT

Hello,

I have a student that asked us to look into getting USC setup with Eduroam CAT. We are an Aruba/HPE house that does EAP-PEAP. What would be needed for us to get setup with CAT? We have several other entities on our campuses that have totally separate networks (some are on Cisco equipment) from us and separate authentication. Would it be possible to get a CAT profile that would allow users to roam between these networks that all broadcast a Eduroam SSID? I ask because this is the primary reason why people at USC join their devices to Eduroam rather than USC's Secure Wifi, so they can roam between these networks.

Thank you for your time,
