Hi Eleanor,

If you changed your access management to use Shibboleth 4 with Azure as the backend, then it will change (regrettably). What I can do is pop over another invite to the CAT for you to re-establish the link.

With kind regards

Thanks Stefan, I still have access to administer my organisation. I'll check with our identity management team to see if they can resolve the issue.

Hello,

the UI has always displayed your unique identifier when you clicked on "click to display" at the Unique Identifier infocard. So this is not a phenomenon related to the upgrade. It's not even a phenomenon :-)

You get to see the list of organisations you manage right after logging in. You then click on an entry of that list to see the details with QR codes, edit fields, etc.

Is that list maybe empty?

In that case, your unique identifier /changed/ sometime in the past and you are recognised as a different user, without authorisation to manage any organisation.

This is a phenomenon typically observed when the (eduGAIN) IdP changes something in their (SAML) software configuration, leading to new identifer assignments. We've heard of Shibboleth software major version upgrades doing that.

If you want your previous authorisations back, you need to get your previous identifier back - i.e. contact your SAML IdP admin and ask what has changed on that level.

Alternatively, you can ask your eduroam NRO to send you a new invitation token and authorize your new unique ID to administer the organisation. I believe the NRO in the UK has a process for requesting such a new authorisation somwhere in their national eduroam Operations Support System.

Greetings,

Stefan Winter

Hi,

I'm not sure if this has happened since the upgrade of CAT, it certainly worked ok a few weeks ago. On our profile page if I click to display the Unique Identifier if get the following error:

It used to show a graphic of the QR code and link to our idp. Can someone have a look at this please?

Thanks,
