That sounds rather drastic. What do you mean with "stopped to function"?
The entire computer is broken? A slightly more detailed description of
what happened would really help.
Since your mail doesn't even indicate *which* university you are talking
about, there is really little I can tell you about the Wi-Fi service of
your university. Again, a slightly more detailed description of your
situation would really help.
