that shouldnt happen....thats why the CAT tool asks for your details...
obviously, they need
to be put in correctly (perhaps, when connecting, theres a failure and hence
windows is prompting
for correct details??)

that is because the CAT tool enforces the correct security policy. you must
ALWAYS set
the CA/server details into clients (where such settings are possible) - not
doing so is in
violation of the eduroam specifications. (as an IDP you must ensure that your
clients are
following best practice - so if you have any instructions they MUST show
clients being
configured correctly)
the eduroamCAT tool will ONLY provide a profile to an end user when the
profile is 100% complete
this is one of the big advantages of a deployment tool like the (free)
eduroamCAT and
other commercial offerings, the client is set up 100% correctly and securely.
