Hi Ole,
 I am not sure how far you can push the user :).
The best thing to do would be to get the debugging output.
To do this, the installer would need to be started from the command line with an additional -DEBUG=4 switch.
It will then print some debugging information, but will also produce a log file in the Documents directory.
If I could get this file then perhaps I could guess what is happening.

Running as Administrator gives same result.

The workaround: I instructed the user to look for the described browser window, but this does not appear.

Out of curiosity, did you try to run the workaround that the message speaks about? I know it is not the solution of the problem, but I just wonder if the profile will get properly installed this way.

Could you also try to run the installer with Admin privileges and see if the same error appears?

The event is reprodusable and er have tried installers from two idp's.

  the message says that the problem MAY be a result of Symatec being installed on the machine and blocking profile installation. So far we never got reports that that this would appear also in other situations. Is this a one-time thing or does it repeat regularly on that machine?
