Hi,

I forwarded the bug report to the developer already yesterday. It's in
the works.

For the benefit of the list:

If the profile that was selected by proximity search does not yield an
eap-config profile URL, but a redirect URL (i.e. if the admin has set
either a specific Android redirect, or a redirect for the entire
profile), then the app should open a browser with that URL and otherwise
back off (as opposed to the current behaviour to pop up the browser for
a moment and then complain in-app that there was no eap-config file at
the location).

This probably helps "a bit" because Germany has one "meta" IdP in the
international instance which is a redirect to the German CAT instance.

It's a bug, on its way to fixing. I don't see how this satisfactorily
solves your problem though.

I still find this rather horrible in terms of user interaction for the
all-of-Germany case: the app asks for location permissions, tells you
that it will find your EAP settings, and then... doesn't do that,
instead simply sends you to a website where you can then select your IdP
manually yourself. As a user, I would find that very disappointing.

Greetings,

Stefan Winter
