From what you write, you don't seem to be using the automatic
installation helpers of eduroam CAT.

You should start by going to https://cat.eduroam, choose "Italy", then
"Università degli Studi Roma Tre" and then whether you are Pernsonnel or
a student.

You will then be presented with installation programs. If those don't
work, please first contact your local IT support of Uni Rome Tre to
exclude username/password problems.
