Hello,
already yesterday, we released a new maintenance version of the 1.0
branch: CAT 1.0.5
The Changelog is as follows:
Changes in release 1.0.5
========================
- [BUGFIX #1] fixed broken calculation of window height resulting in
unnecessary presence of the scroll bar
- [BUGFIX #2] Linux module fix - user confirmation function
- [BUGFIX #3] new institution invitations which included an apostophe
character were treated incorrectly and discarded when
redeeming the invitation
- [BUGFIX #4] Linux module fix - no server name was generatet for the
configuration when only one server was present
- [BUGFIX #5] Windows TLS installers did not allow users to unset the
PFX installation
- [BUGFIX #6] when creating a new IdP, show all options
- [BUGFIX #7] Linux module - incorrect behaviour with some special
chracters in passwords
- [BUGFIX #8] Windows module - certificate installation - certificate
incorrectly placed in intermediate store could block
installation in the root store, this demonstrated
itself in Windows Vista and W8 due to broken delault
cert installation by the sysytem
- [BUGFIX #9] get out of unsafe legal waters: disable EAP types on
legacy Windows platforms which need a third-party helper
program. Removes support for:
* Windows XP (entirely)
* Windows Vista TTLS
* Windows 7 TTLS
- [BUGFIX #10] some iconv versions have a nasty bug re TRANSLIT /
IGNORE. included a failsafe to work around this
- [FEATURE #1] include timezone in validity warnings in invitation mails
- [FEATURE #2] Added timestamping support to Windows code signing
- [FEATURE #3] Added Apple OS X Yosemite label
Actually, most of these fixes were previously backported to the 1.0.4
installation on cat.eduroam.org. So if you are simply using the CAT on
that server, you don't have to do anything. We are backporting bugfix #9
on Thursday.
We don't anticipate to formally move this version to cat.eduroam.org
because the release of version 1.1 is imminent; we'll much more likely
jump to 1.1.
This release is only of interest to those who want to continue running
the 1.0 branch on their own servers and who feel strongly about the bugs
that are fixed here (and if their only concern is the fix for #9, this
can be done minimally invasive; please get in touch with me personally).
With the availability of 1.0.5, we had to remove all prior versions from
downloads.geant.net as these are violating the license of SecureW2 B.V.
product - the folder downloads.geant.net -> Roaming -> eduroam CAT now
only contains this 1.0.5 version.
Greetings,
Stefan Winter
