That same fear has been reported earlier. There are only limited ways to
approach this problem, unfortunately. For example, on OS X and iOS,
there is only one opportunity for custom texts; it's in the "Terms &
Conditions" splash, if configured. Other custom username/password hints
are not possible.

On Windows and Linux, we have more control. I could imagine that for CAT
1.1, we can do two things:

1) make the current "username" and "password" strings configurable
(default stays as-is). This would be on the fine-tuning level; after all
the hints would probably differ per EAP type.

2) Provide a way for a customised "welcome screen" text, which would
then totally replace our default "Welcome to the eduroam installer" body
text. Any custom hints could then be implanted there.

So, for your users, you could then replace "username" with "username
with @kuleuven.be suffix" and "your regular student password" as an
extra hint (note that this super long string may do serious damage to
the UI display; not much we can do about that....) and/or also add
"remember to add the @kuleuven.be suffix when prompted for the password,
and use the password that you got from the secretariat on the second
floor earlier in the semester" in the splash. I wonder how many users
would read through *that* though.

So, my question to you is ... what do you want? :-) Option 1 and/or or
Option 2?

Greetings,

Stefan Winter
