Hi Csaba,

Which netmusic are you referring to?

If the testing we were doing with the P4 Lab and AMT, then the source was
yours and the clients were VLC4, usually the latest nightly builds -
https://nightlies.videolan.org/. That worked pretty well, except for the odd
pushing/buffering somehow introduced by AMT or the client - it was fine when
you ran it natively.

Or have I missed something again? :)

We really should poke the multicast list; it s gone quite quiet and it was
pretty interesting.

hi,
so you do it over rtp or something other like jacktrip?
so does it have a sequence number to spot the duplicates?
is it unicast or multicast or configurable? if not yet multicast, does it
accept multicast at the receiver?
so if a box could nat it to multicast and static flood it into 2+ traffeng
paths then
you have to deal only with the dedup and the playout buffer tuning before the
earphones
i've done that trick already with commercial boxes in my var carreer but
maybe rare could be configured to do so... :)
imho it's a kind of proactive idea compared to quickly rerouting...
thanks,
