okk then, thanks for the clarification.... so well, for an ix deployment, you
surely have to go with the bridging...

but if you go with the private peering, you better off with the local
xconnect.... it's basically the same as
cisco satellite modules, but without the proprietary control plane, and over
standard protocols on the uplink: dot1q...

really nothing special here and one can already configure an arbitrary l2
switch the same way but they're not tend to do so:
it's just a shortcut instead of having a 24 bridges applied to the first 24
ports 1:1 and having the remaining ports as a trunk...
but most importantly, without the mac learning, which, regardless how well
you configure it, will be always an issue...
