All,

After more than a decade with eduGAIN (and GÉANT, née TERENA) , I’m leaving today.

But the eduGAIN interfederation service is now stronger than ever. With 70 members and many more in the pipeline, the support of the GN4-3 project, the community collaborations such as REFEDS and TF-IAM, the _new_ steering group chair (Terry Smith/AAF) and Secretariat staff (Casper Dreef/GÉANT) your interfederation needs are well supported.

I’ll be a long long way away from GÉANT – on the Island State of Tasmania. I’ll be enjoying the summer, fires, excess UV exposure, Christmas, Cricket, New Year, more Cricket, more fires and catching up with long lost friends and family from the other side of the world.

What I’ll be doing to occupy my time in 2020 hasn’t yet been decided. I’m sure our paths will cross in the not too distant future. I’ll also be excited to see what comes of the projects and people that have been so much of my life since I first met the community at TNC2009 in Málaga and an Internet2 Member Meeting in San Antonio, APAN32 in New Delhi in 2011, TICAL in Lima in 2012, e-AGE in Oman in 2014 and WACREN in 2016.

By the time Blue Monday comes around I’ll be reflecting on what everyone is working on around the globe.
