Dear All,

Below is my feedback:

eduGAIN Federation Profile page (https://technical.edugain.org/status.php):

- The policy files are hosted at different website than the federation website. - The registration authority has different domain name with the website - Neither metadata url nor signing certificate is provided - The contact email is learn AT ac.lk , is it a typo? - SG delegate and the deputy are the same person

Our federation site goes as https://liaf.ac.lk but the federation registry is as https://fr.ac.lk. Contact email is learn AT ac.lk and it is not a typo.

We have two names for SG delegate and Deputy, the status page will be updated accordingly.

Website:
- Navigation: I have to press back button to comeback to the main page, no proper navigation menu on each page.
There is no back button as it is a responsive page. You may see a close button on right hand corner of each sub page
- Joining procedure:
  * No information about how the SP can join the federation
We will correct that
- Participants
  * Entity ID instead of URL

Please advice me which is best.

- Metadata
  * Signing key length < 3K
Will be revised.
- Technical
 * OK

Policies:
- Federation Policy
  - Chapter's header need to be reformatted/fixed
  * Obligations and Rights of Federation Members
     - The websites says that to become federation member, the organization must be LEARN member. However, the federation policy says non-LEARN member could become a member with a fee.
     - The data protection profile document couldn't be found/missing
Will be changed
  * Eligibility
     - OK
Thanks
  * Procedures
    - No specific procedure for SP
Will be added
  * Legal conditions of use
    - The technology profile document couldn't be found/missing
Will be added
- MRPS Policy
 - OK
-Technology Profile
 - Not available
Will be added
- Data Protection Profile
 - Not available
Will be added

Thank you

All,

I present to you the application of Sri Lanka / LIAF who has signed the eduGAIN Declaration, has a policy based on the policy template, is self declaring their federation as a production service and is wanting to join the global R&E federated environment.

You can find more detailed information about the federation under "eduGAIN Candidates” at
    https://technical.edugain.org/status.php
which contains links to their policy and MRPS.

This application is from an organisation that is closely aligned with the GÉANT community via their participation in the Asi@Connect project and has been receiving support via the BACKFIRE project and TF-IAM activities within APAN to support their participation in eduGAIN.

So I ask the following federations to specifically review the submission by LIAF:
 * Malaysia / SIFULAN
 * Moldova / LEAF
 * Mozambique / CAFMoz
 * The Netherlands / SURFconext
 * New Zealand / Tuakiri

All eduGAIN members can (and should) provide feedback on this but to share the burden of review around, these five (5) federations have a specific responsibility.

If you have any questions please contact the LIAF team that are subscribed to this mailing list as well as CC’d to this message.

Formal components of the membership process will be via the eduGAIN Steering Group mailing list.
