Hi all,

   Peter's description is quite correct. Also be completely clear, MDS
only tests the conformance of metadata to required standards and
additional conditions that are described in the eduGAIN policy.

  There are a few monitoring services that check other aspects of
metadata, including reachability, but their findings are cannot make the
metadata invalid, they are simply to help making the quality better.
