Dear eduGAIN,

 

Thanks to Ian, some typos were spotted in the SAML2 metadata examples in some GÉANT Data protection Code of Conduct documents. Version 1.0 Errata 1 have been published for the following documents:

- Entity Category Specification: Data Protection Code of Conduct (for Service Providers in EU/EEA and countries with adequate protection)

- SAML 2 Profile for the Data Protection Code of Conduct

 

The new documents are available in the Entity category URI

The errors were in the white space characters in the example XML elements:

 

The old wrong version (1.0):

<AttributeValue>

   http://www.geant.net/uri/dataprotection-code-of-conduct/v1

</AttributeValue>

 

The new version (1.o errata 1):

<AttributeValue>http://www.geant.net/uri/dataprotection-code-of-conduct/v1</AttributeValue>

 

A similar cleanup is done also for mdui:PrivacyStatementURL, mdui:DisplayName and mdui:Description. I also used this opportunity to reformulate the examples for a more readable layout.

 

Because nobody was actually using the wrong format, Brook and I decided that there is no need for a formal vote or a transition period.
