Hi Richard,

    Great that you like the extensions. As to global testing we are actually using the new API to run global tests over all profiles in CAT. They are being run in 5 threads. Starting from today we will be running them daily - not sure what time would be really the best.You can see the results on the NRO CAT admin page, and do to the institution and repeat the test at once. The NRO admin may exclude individual institutions from these global tests (but explicit API or GUI tests will still be possible).

As the NRO admin you do not have access to other federations - perhaps test results should be exempt from the general rule that one does not peek into other federations? 

As to running your own tests, it is of course fine to run them. We did not plan the API for high efficiency, but when we run the tests in 5 threads there is no problem. I would wonder more about whether it makes sense to run global tests by individual federations. I would be more inclined towards providing an interface to global daily test results.
