Hello,
I work for REANNZ, the New Zealand NREN.
We were delighted to see eduroam CAT 2.2.2 expose diagnostic tests in
the API recently.
Last year, the CAT portal interface to these tests was invaluable for
diagnosing an international connectivity issue. This was not detected
by our existing proactive automated eduroam testing that we do on
behalf of our member organisations. We anticipate that the new API
will let us extend our automated tests to cover such faults.
I wanted first to check usage expectations for the new API endpoint.
We currently monitor test logins against about 20 realms (these could
conceivably double over time). We'd like to perform international test
logins against them, too.
Is there a recommended period for automated tests, and what is
considered a reasonable API usage limit?
