Hi,

Hi,

the direct APK download for Android returns a 404 error.

"Download your installer for Android 8 and higher":
Before you proceed with installation on Android systems, please
make sure that you have installed the geteduroam application.
This application is available from these sites: Google Play,
Huawei AppGalery, as local download and will use the
configuration file downloaded from CAT to create all necessary
settings.

The "local download" points to
https://cat.eduroam.org/geteduroam-stable.apk which is 404.

Please restore the APK to permit users not wanting to use the
Google Playstore to download the geteduroam APK.

The geteduroam Apps are also available on F-Droid; would that also be a good alternative actually?

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/app.eduroam.geteduroam/
(and https://f-droid.org/repo/app.eduroam.geteduroam_2676.apk)

Knowing that Google is changing their sideloading policy, I'm not entirely sure for how long users can continue to use .apk's, but for now of course all strategies should work.

Regards,
Paul
