Thank you for answer.

I understand that there was no update to the CAT tool around December 19, 
2022.

I would like to change the question, 

can you think of any reason why my iphone with CAT tools could not connect 
EAP-TLS to Eduroam?

Also, after uninstalling the CAT tool on the same iPhone, 
I was able to connect to Eduroam without any problems. 

The CAT tools were installed with the following settings.

Organisation: Federated ID Service
User group: Member Certificate Profile
Installer :Apple device

Device Version: iPhone iOS 16.1

Hello,

that particular profile was last changed by its administrator on 2021-11-29.
As I wrote before, our code update to the CAT website and installer 
generators was in August 2022.

None of the these dates explain why things started working for you in 
December 2022. Whatever the reason is, it has nothing to do with the tooling 
we generate here.

You are right.

Previous installs stopped working after installing CAT.

while installing?
It was always the /connection/ that didn't work?

No errors occurred during configuration profile installation.
When I tried to connect to eduroam on my iPhone, I got an error.

I installed CAT with the following settings.

I also tried to look at your institution's settings as defined in CAT.


I could not find "Tokyo Metropolitan University" in our list of connected 
institutions.


Which entry in CAT did you download and use?

that update was in August 2022, with a few hotfixes in the weeks after.


Note that there is no "version of eduroam". Your eduroam Identity Provider 
can work with the same settings, and the exact same resulting generated 
installer, for many years. The version of the CAT website and generator does 
not necessarily change anything in the content of the installer.


Maybe you are asking the wrong question. Why do you think it is important to 
know any version? Is something not working?

The version of CAT is what's on the website (so this applies to profiles). 
However, if you're looking for the version of any apps, like geteduroam on 
iOS or Android, or the old (obsolete 'eduroam CAT' app on Android), see the 
below:

On Android, go to Settings, then Apps, find 'geteduroam' or 'eduroam CAT', 
tap it and scroll to the bottom.

On iOS, go to General, iPhone Storage, search for 'geteduroam' and tap it.
