Turned out to be a bit more complex than I initially imagined, so I will need some time for testing in the beginning of the week.

The current installer installs two profiles; "eduroam®" and "eduroam® via partner"

The first one is the standard eduroam with the SSID "eduroam", the second is a Passpoint/Hotspot 2.0 profile installed "just in case". This "Just in case" is the possibility to provide eduroam access in places which for some reason cannot use the eduroam SSID but can broadcast eduroam Roaming Consortium Organization Identifier. Such situations are so far quite exceptional therefore users are not likely to use them, still we want to be prepared for this. This second profile can only be installed if the user's wireless card supports HS 2.0.

For some reason Windows is not showing ® correctly on the command line (however if you try to remove the profile with netsh you need to address it as eduroam® (or eduroam* which will delete both profiles) and not eduroamR.

This second "eduroam" that you see can either be the profile installed by the previous installer or a profile created automatically if the user simply connected to the network by entering username and password without additional security safeguards that the installer provides.

Indeed, two profiles for a single SSID may be a problem, so it seems reasonable that the installer should remove any profile called eduroam.

I will implement this change ASAP and make it available over the weekend.

Morning Team,

We noticed two WLAN profiles are being installed by eduroam CAT client profile which results into redundant wireless profiles for eduroam. Not sure if this was being attended or any way we can rectify this.

Please see below screenshot for wireless profiles having eduroam, eduroam with trademark and eduroam via partner with trademark. Please let me know if any further info is needed and can provide WLAN profile configuration if needed.
