Hate the Chrome OS interface and the fact it doesn't tell you if config succeeded or failed

Chances are, the .ONC interface is broken in ChromeOS.
It used to work some years ago, but on all recent Chromebooks I encountered
(about 5 in 2 years), it worked partially at best.
Our CAT profile contains a special outer identity, this was set successfully.
What was not set in any sensible way was the CA certificate setting.
Aftern an attempt ot import the .ONC, you could see said outer id
in the WiFi settings dialog. As to certs you just have two options:
1. Do not validate
2. Defaults

Hoping that "Defaults" means to verify server cert at least against ANY root cert
known to the system, activated this option and let the user go with it.

I have reported this twice  on Google's "Improve ChromeOS" page,
but to no avail, AFAIK.
