Hello,
we do not use anonymous identity when login to the eduroam network or
the identity of the user is the same as anonymous identity. Most Linux
users use NetworkManager. CAT installer creates a configuration file
"eduroam" that NetworkManager does not process and users are unable to
connect to eduroam network. By testing, we found that there was a
problem with the "anonymous-identity=" parameter in the [802-1x] section
of the configuration file. When this line is deleted using command
sudo sed -i '/anonymous-identity/d'
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/eduroam
NetworkManager connects to the network.
Would it be possible to modify CAT installer so that it does not store
anonymous identity (whole row) in the configuration file if it is not
used at all? Or, do the CAT installer duplicate user identity to the
anonymous identity?
Best regards,
Martin Simek
