I have checked the configuration on eduroam CAT and that seems to be in
order.

There are indeed long delays and timeouts for requests traversing the
Italian national server right now. These may be related if you are using
your account roaming (but wouldn't have an effect if you are using the
network locally at UNIMI.

I will inform Operations that there is something wrong with the Italian
top-level server so that this gets fixed.
