Hi David,

At the moment, we went with Stefan's recommendation as to reassigning the user's VLAN via RADIUS.  To answer your question, no, we do not use the "additional SSID" option.

Our initial inquiry was due to the fact that local users have greater network access than what we want to give to eduroam clients.  We are also in the middle of a wireless hardware evaluation and refresh, and this will most likely get revisited during and after that process.

Jason,

I would just like to support the "feature request'  enquiry,  which you have
submitted recently -
(I have copied it below),
I can see no way to do this at present (via CAT).-- but I agaree - that it
would be a VERY useful 'optional' feature to have available

I am wondering if you are also making use of the "Additional SSID" feature
within CAT.
I assume (based on your enquiry)  that you have an additional SSID which you
need to have 'prioritised' in some circumstances?
That is also the situation we have here at QUB.

If you are making use of the  'Additional SSID' option - I would be very
interested to know if you have found it to work properly in the case of
Android client devices??
I can not get this to work for Android (although it does work for Windows and
Apple) - -
I really would like to know if this issue is 'a general problem (wrt Android)'
-  or -  if I should be looking for a problem which may be specific to our own
institution].
If you can confirm that the  'Additional SSID' feature  does work properly for
you - that would really assist in my investigation into  this issue -- I hope
you can help.

thank you

David
