Hi Jon,

Thanks for looking into this.

I have asked our library staff to create an openAthens account for us and they have done so, however, we login to CAT IDP management page, there is nothing listed - its like we have lost all the config we had there.

Do we need to recreate everything from scratch again? How can we get the config we had on our IDP page?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Ranjeet.

I've spotted your message on the list and thought it maybe useful for me to dip in here...

I believe the process for regaining access to eduroam CAT is for you to contact the eduroam UK support team (mail to service AT ja.net) and then will provide you with a new invite to the eduroam CAT page for your institution.

That invite then needs to be linked to an account with a particular Identity Provider, as you describe you were using Google, which I think the CAT team have been having issues with and it appears you want to use your Courtauld Institute of Art - OpenAthens IdP registered in edugain (via the UK federation [I'm a member of that team])

I can see that the OpenAthens IdP is almost certainly a managed directory rather than tied into any other local authentication system, and so usually we find that requests are made to the Library team at your institution for accounts to be created (usually for the purposes of access to digital resources by students/staff).  If your not sure who that is, then you could contact Eduserv who managed this IdP on behalf of your organisation - athenshelp AT eduserv.org.uk

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Jon
