Hi,

I work in the Helpdesk part of IT at the School of Oriental and African Studies [SOAS}

Our Mac Eduroam CAT files haven’t worked for us for over a year ; our network team have changed several times over this period and it hasn’t been possible to have this problem seen by them as a priority.

We do join the Mac laptops in a manual way by selecting Eduroam from the wifi icon and putting in their credentials but I am aware this does not offer the security the CAT files provide.

The message we get when we attempt to run the CAT file for all of the current Mac installers : Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan. I haven’t any older MacBooks to test

In the console log it shows as:

26/01/2016 17:18:12.885 Apple80211Agent[3135]: [EAPOLControl.c:178] EAPOLControlAuthInfoIsValid(): Ignoring SaveCredentialsOnSuccessfulAuthentication since no credentials were specified
26/01/2016 17:18:12.892 eapolclient[3136]: en1 START uid 501 gid 20
26/01/2016 17:18:12.997 eapolclient[3136]: [eapttls_plugin.c:968] eapttls_verify_server(): server certificate not trusted status 6 0
26/01/2016 17:18:12.997 eapolclient[3136]: en1 EAP-TTLS: authentication failed with status 6
26/01/2016 17:18:17.970 eapolclient[3136]: en1 STOP

When I looked at The CAT file in Apple Configurator  I saw the Outer Identity was

<key>OuterIdentity</key>
                                    <string>soas.ac.uk AT soas.ac.uk</string>

I don’t know whether this is right or not but everything else looked appropriate to my non-network trained eyes..

If you can offer us any assistance it would be greatly appreciated.
