Hi,

some firewall solutions dont let you put in names, just addresses. some 
vendors
allow you to use names but then explicitly tell you that its a bad thing to do
(what if DNS is down/dead during rebuild of ruleset...or resolution causes a 
huge delay 
in generating the configuration).  national operators who take part in the 
monthly
meetings were told about the change of address - so they could tell their 
members
(however, how many expect their members to have such systems in place?) 

I guess the announcement should have been made on the eduroam CAT users 
mailing list
though - as thats where all admin users of CAT should live....
