Thank you very much for your reply. It works better. However, the alternative login name is still not set to “anonymous AT cern.ch”. Is there a possibility to prevent the user to do it manually?

Hi Sebastian,
   Fortunately we did think of that, however the proper option is a bit hidden.
When you are in the institution overview screen, you will see your profile summary like:




Click "Installer Fine Tuning and Download"




Then under TLS click "EAP-Type-Specific options..." which will display:



Now you just need to click the box next to "Turn on selection EAP-TLS User-Name" and "Save data"
and you are done.

The installer will then set the option you are talking about.

Following the deployment of eduroam at CERN based on an EAP-TLS authentication, we are making use of the eduroam CAT for Windows 7.

 

We unfortunately discover that the login use for the authentication by Windows is not correct. Actually the Edu roam profile created make use of the name of the person contained in the certificate instead of the anonymous login anonymous AT cern.ch.

 

To solve the problem, the box Use a different user name for the connection must be ticked

 

 

The Connection user name must be replaced by anonymous AT cern.ch

 

 

 

Could you please let us know whether it is possible to customized something in the eduroam CAT and whether you could incorporate this change in the tool?
