hi,
please try to stick to debian-sid: generally speaking, every linux 
distribution could work,
(someone already compiles for fedora, and the rare project goes the nix way 
on platforms with asic)
but if you decide to use anything else, you have to compile the native 
binaries yourself...
it's not that hard at all (cd misc/natives ; ./c.sh ; sudo mv *.bin /rtr/) 
but if you want
something that works out of the box, and will after enabling autoupgrade, 
stay with the debian-sid...
